Agency clients

A Pan-European digital agency *, newly established in a key Asian market, needed a deeper understanding of how the groundbreaking work from across the region could also inform design and client reach in Europe.

Trialing a new organisation, with AI-augmented workflows and updated roles across continents, helped the agency reach their growth targets ahead of schedule in late 2024.

Sakini. Ahead, first and beyond.

My work as Partner and Global Strategic Design Director at Manyone, including work for the United Nations, spanned 2019-2024. We built the agency from humble beginnings to 300+ team members in 14 offices across 10 countries.

Our belief resonated with the world’s most ambitious and successful companies and brands. Image by Manyone A/S.

With M we made (the) news around the world.

The multi-year Outdoor Thermal Comfort design project identifies solutions to mitigate challenges posed by climatic conditions and urban heat islands in Southeast Asian cities. The result, a quicker route to real-world trials with greenery, water and biodiversity at its core.

As of December 2024 the project is part of a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) AI research project.

Combining traditional, regional ideas with new generations of citizens to help manage life near the equator.

With a cross-departmental group at YLE – Finland’s progressive public broadcaster – we explored new ways of working.

The goal: to evolve the multi-lingual news, current affairs, sports and culture services YLE is famous for.

In 2026 Yle will have “informed, educated and entertained” for 100 years.

The book

In our book State of Mind at Work, and through workshops and talks, Tommie Cau and I helped individuals and organisations across Europe and Asia find better ways of doing incredible work.

It all starts with ones own state of mind.

The book was full of proven steps to take, and effective actions to complete. A quick and effective read. (All editions are now sold out.)

Our pink book inspired leaders and decision makers around the world.

Future stars

The designers and strategists of the future are attending renowned institutions such as Aalto University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Berghs School of Communication. I am fortunate enough to be or have been a guest lecturer at all three.

Working with brilliant students at Aalto University.
